Tina's artistic path gained momentum after graduating from San Diego State University where she studied journalism and art, both areas of focus throughout her career.

Mostly self-taught, Tina is drawn to abstract and vibrant colors. She works in acrylics and gouache paints, colored pencils, charcoal and other media. Her works are currently available as originals and giclée prints.

In the 1990s, she launched a business creating fish skeleton refrigerator magnets, an idea that began as prop for a Nordstrom fashion show but evolved into something more practical and marketable: a refrigerator magnet.

She sold her fish magnets in stores and catalogs throughout the U.S. and managed to get them product placed on the fridges of TV shows that included Friends and Seinfeld, where so many scenes took place in the kitchen.

In 2024, she relaunched her fish magnets under a new name, "Friends Fish Magnets." They are available today in a variety of colors and fish shapes and designs.
