Tina Cuccia has lived in the Bay Area since 1996. She works in a variety of mediums though mostly gouache and acrylic paints. She studied journalism and art at San Diego State University.

In 1988, Cuccia created the colorful and skeletal Santa Fe-inspired refrigerator "fish magnets." Her colorful and artsy fish caught the eye of Pottery Barn, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales as well as other retail outlets and catalogs across the United States, where they were available in the early to mid-1990s.

Cuccia's magnets were featured on the television sets of several popular sitcoms including "Friends", "Seinfeld", "Home Improvement" and "Bay Watch." Look closely on the refrigerators on one of these shows and you may catch a glimpse of a fish magnet!

Cuccia later expanded her line to include other gift items such as key chains, jewelry and a children's bathtub toy - get the fish wet and they stuck to the side of the tub.

Cuccia's shoe paintings appeared in "Art & Sole - Celebrating the Shoe as Art" at the Fine Art DuJour Gallery, San Francisco in 2001. Her work has also appeared at the Sun Gallery in Hayward and at the Holiday Gift Shoppe at the Berkeley City Club in 2004.

Today, Cuccia produces both fine art and surface design.
